International Friesian Show Horse Association (IFSHA)
Code of Ethics
In 2001, The International Friesian Show Horse Association (IFSHA), a California non-profit corporation, was created and dedicated to the promotion, showing and exhibition of the Friesian horse and its derivatives. IFSHA’s mission is to promote recognition of the Friesian Horse and encourage interaction and a sense of community among owners and enthusiasts of the Friesian bred horse. In pursuit of this mission, IFSHA is the affiliate of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). Through the association with USEF, IFSHA hopes to be able to more effectively promote the Friesian breed and its derivatives and provide a USEF rated show circuit for the Friesian horse.
IFSHA has no paid employees. The management of IFSHA is carried out by a board of directors, that are unpaid volunteers. Most of IFSHA’s activities are undertaken by the members of the IFSHA Board of Directors. IFSHA is also supported by the volunteer efforts of members of other horse show associations. As members of USEF, IFSHA adheres to the policy of being a Guardian of the safety of its members, diversity of members and the safety and welfare of our equine partners, the Friesian Horse. All IFSHA members, volunteers and paid staff and officials of IFSHA Grand National Horse show are required to comply with the IFSHA Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and to maintain these standards as to not create the image of impropriety either real or perceived. A core value of IFSHA is to create a level playing field for all..

-
