International Friesian Show Horse Association (IFSHA)
Conflict of Interest Statement

The International Friesian Show Horse Association (IFSHA), is a non-profit California based corporation. IFSHA has no paid employees and management of IFSHA is carried out by a volunteer board of directors. IFSHA is also supported by volunteer efforts of members and horse show associations. IFSHA is the USEF Affiliate that represents the Friesian and Part Bred Friesian Horse.

USEF defines a “conflict of interest” or “conflict” exists when an affiliated individual’s activities interfere with, influence or have the potential to interfere with or influence their responsibilities on behalf of the association. An individual may not use their position to influence or use their position for financial gain.

IFSHA members of the Board of Directors are to disclose any possible conflicts of interest to the IFSHA Board of Directors. However, disclosure of a conflict or potential conflict of does not necessarily prohibit involvement in an IFSHA activity or with USEF.

Conflicts of Interest from the IFSHA By Laws

In a matter of “Conflict of Interest” or “Conflict” the IFSHA Board of Directors will refer to Chapter 9, Sections 9.01 through 9.06 for resolution of the issue.

Further information pertaining to “conflict of interest” and “conflict” may be found on the USEF website and the IFSHA Board of Directors will use such information as guidance for resolution of conflicts.
