IFSHA RULES FOR OWNERS AND HORSES TO SHOW WITH IFSHA

Show season is upon us once again. As you get ready to show please keep the following in mind:

  1. Remember that in order to show at an IFSHA rated show both the owner and the horse will have to be registered with IFSHA. You may find the application for both owner and horse on our website. While the owner can join online, the horse membership will have to be done with the membership application for horses you will find under forms. This form along with a copy of your papers will need to be sent to the office along with a form of payment to register the horse.

  2. Your horse will need to provide registration papers from a Friesian registry that show DNA parentage verification of at least 50% Friesian on the registration paperwork. You will also need to have the horse microchipped and this should either be on your registration papers or provide the office with proof of insertion from your vet along with the microchip number. This is per USEF rule for the Friesian division FR101 sections 2 thru 4.

  3. Please remember that the show will require that your paperwork be done prior to your arrival at the show. The IFSHA office has asked that you have yourself and your horses registered at least 5 days prior to the show you are planning to attend.

Thanks for your help and have a good show season!
